One of the ubiquitous cheaply made coil stove in a tin. Branded Peerless with the additional info that it was Distributed by Dundas Trading Company of Christchurch. Most likely made by the same company as the Handy Camper Stove as it looks identical and the tin is painted the same with the exception of the name. Failed the dunk test so no flame shots.
Oh just the filler cap. the rubber is not sealing. It'll go into the round tuit pile until i find a suitable sized viton cap seal.
The Stesco versions have a lead washer which theoretically melts to release pressure, which is vented through a hole in the filler cap. I take it the Japanese manufactured models differ @gnome, with no safety valve arrangement?
@Blackdog That is correct. They don't have the hole in the filler cap and just have.a regular rubber cap seal.
