Hola and Good Morning from a very hot, dry and dusty Barcelona ! Is there any way please to increase the resolution of the thumbnails that you see in the groups. I am finding it more difficult to see the thumbnails with clarity, it doesn't help that my eyesight suffers from diabetic issues but when I click on a thumbnail the enlarged image is in perfect resolution in 99% of cases. There doesn't seem to be a setting in the member settings but I wonder if the Admin @Spiritburner have the ability to increase the Rez at all. Thank you Neil
The site wont let me upload PNGs which is the commonest way now of grabbing a screenshot certainly on Macs, is it limited in anyway please to a file type Thanks
@Neil_scott The way to fix that, if you can’t save the intitial screenshots as JPEG, is to go to the .png and adjust it, say by choosing automatic exposure, and it should then save as a .jpeg. Tony
Here is the file, apologies for the delay, Info for others PNG files are the normal style in which MacOSX exports from the screen capture command, different if you use a app for screen capture, if you are on the current level of OSX then you have to alter the setup in Terminal, older versions of OSX it might be possible from the capture command screen graphic that comes up alternatively capture the screen and open the grab pop up from the bottom right hand corner of your screen and then share it in Preview and export from there to a jpeg. I didn't know that CCS only supported a limited number of file formats, PNG and WebP for example are starting to become more and more the norm now it would seem. Thanks
I rarely use PNG, I use TIFFs for high resolution and JPG/JPEGs for everything else. WebPs are the bane of my existence, I save the files/images as JPEGs and it auto-converts them to a format I can easily use. Alec.
I agree although personally I cant see the point of a screengrab being anything other than being a small file that can be viewed cross platform which is why I was surprised that CCS doesn't support PNG or WEBp which now I find most websites like to download images as. No idea when that started to happen! To be honest I wish OSX had better options to deal with screengrabs like pixelate , annotate and Loupe etc. I know you can get around it using preview and other functions but I always feel the right click should have that sitting there ready for me to work on the images direct from the screengrab.
I don't see any wrong in the screenshot of the thumbnails you posted. They look just as thumbs should look. And they are absolutely large enough to show what the content is about. I can e.g. read the text 'Borde Benzin Brenner' on the first thumbnail, and that's more than you could ask for when it comes to a thumbnail. Perhaps it's a thing with your own screen resolution? It's always difficult to know how a thing look at another persons side, but the screenshot you posted looked good on my screen
perhaps my eyes have got worse then with my diabetes. I have noticed a degradation in my sight over the last few months and have had to change the Rez on my Mac accordingly. Thanks for the confirmation.
The thumbs are just there to give a little hint anyway. Not really to show any details. The text/title itself is still the main thing. But lets see if Ross has any other ideas.
