Hi all, after some recent prolonged use, my Army No12 burner head is blocked. Due to its convoluted nature, there's no way to get a wire through it, I've tried heating and quenching, but no luck. I'm borrowing an ultrasonic cleaner to see if that will work, but if not, then I'm out of ideas. Does anybody have experience in clearing one of these? Cheers all.

I've no experience with these stoves, but would initially check the feed pipe is clear with a length of braided cycle brake cable chucked in a drill, then resort to heat and low pressure air on the burner itself.

    Was it running on diesel?

Thanks for the links Kerophile, I'll not get my hopes up with the ultrasonic cleaning...

A wire and a drill may work, thanks for the idea. I always use paraffin with these stoves, never used diesel.

Cheers for your advice all, the wire wiggled through from the valve hole did the trick, can't believe I didn't think of that myself.
The stove is now up and running as desired cooking my butchers pork and black pudding sausages for breakfast.
    Thanks again.

I do like a cast iron pan, which is why I'm glad the No12 is ok, because I wouldn't trust my other smaller stoves, including an Optimus 111, with the weight of the pan.
