Finally my "mystery" stove arrived and I brought a friend. As I had already posted some photos on the site here on the "mysterious" site and someone replied that it was a Primus, I decided to buy it I was happy because it came in better conditions than the photos on the site where I bought it showed. It is also the oldest I now own. The "friend" decided to buy it because I had never seen one with 8 burners, I don't know if it's real or a replica because I don't recognize his brand. If anyone can give me some information about him, I would appreciate it.
The friend is a pre-1911 'Intensive' furnace No.8, see page 13 of this catalogue. The brand with the two blowlamps (often called 'duelling blowlamps on this site) is the early logo used by Primus on heating equipment rather than stoves.
rare Primus 216 from 1912 Primus No.216 - Pre 1911 please add to gallery in Primus 216 with the best quality photo
Both are Primus products, the No.8 'Intensive' furnace is older than the No.216 stove, and is a rare survivor.
The No.8 Intensive is also quite an early example of that model. The crescent shaped Hjorth provenance mark on the base means it almost certainly* can't be later than 1897/8, but, with the 'Soldering Equipment ' logo, it won't be earlier than 1896. So most likely a 3 year dating window! *there are a small number of examples of pieces of 'soldering equipment' having been assembled later than this but still drawing on stocks of tanks bearing this older mark.
@gieorgijewski I clean a bit , but dont look the same in Primus No.216 - Pre 1911 This photos look better
@Firedevil its worth posting lots of photos of your Primus No.216 in the Stove Reference Gallery... Pretty please Alec.
