    Bat stove of East German manufacture. 1964-73 years
    A very interesting yet simple to use stove.
    Quite flat shape, massive steel tank, makes this stove very stable. The wind shield rests on the edges of the tank at three points without threatening to transfer too much heat to the tank.
    The burner assembly is equipped with a rod with a flame control knob and a rod with a lever for activating the cleaning needle, operating at 90°.
    The set is missing a set of pots with a drip tray.

    I received it in deplorable condition.
    I cleaned and painted the tank, replaced the wick and gaskets, fixed the burner with a special heat-resistant thread glue, and glued the decal .

    You’d never guess by how it looks and performs now.
    You mean the burner-to-tank joint? But they’re tapered threads I think, so not necessary?

    Too many of the BAT gasoline fuelled stoves have rust-holed tanks. An achievement to have got one that wasn’t that far gone, Stanislaw.

    @JeepCamp , @Kristian123 , @Nicola Francesco Elia , @CW, @presscall . Thanks guys.
    John. I had to use a lot of high heat to unscrew the burner. Also, it has to be centered exactly so that the filler cap with the safety valve is 45° between the two rods.... Otherwise the wind shield will not fit.

    Hi @ALEXANDRE FREDDI
    These types of gasoline stoves, are self-pressurizing.
    They are equipped with a wick that transports the fuel that the tank to the burner.
    During operation, the tank heats up, creating pressure inside, which pushes the fuel ( through the wick) to the burner.
    In the hot burner the fuel boils and leaves the burner through the nozzle opening already in gaseous form .
