I've had this Optimus No.208 for a year or so. It's fitted with a conventional No.5 style burner but otherwise retains its original parts. It's still in pre-fettled condition and way down the list A couple of legs have had the obligatory trowelled-on solder repair of course Anyway, some photos for the SRG before I decide what to do with it Cheers, Alec.
And of course, after you stop looking and post it in the SRG, you find a 208 burner.... The burner was a blackened mess but cleaned up well, so I gave the stove another light going over and removed more of the deep scratches, I think its a decent/even patina now, I won't take it any further The UFO cap shows evidence of heavy use (either that or slight under-burn), in any case its quite worn/scorched but fine for display. If I fire it up I'll use a Radius cap and save the Optimus one for "good" More photos/updates anon Alec.
