Looks like I've found my hobby for this winter.

A friend of mine is cleaning house and mentioned that he had a "few" stoves to sell. I showed up, spent a bunch more money than I was planning on spending... and came home with a whole lot of stoves.

I've always been interested in these and have a few older coleman dual burner camp fuel stoves and lanterns but never thought I'd end up owning this many of these!

I think the final count is: (approximately)

    3x M1942 "Wheel" stoves
19x M1942 stoves (possibly some are 520/530's? I'm still figuring this out.)
17x M1942 "mountain" stoves, with the smaller fuel tank
    42x M1950 stoves, mostly disassembled
60-odd cans the stoves fit in
    5 esbit stoves
    1 optimus stove & 2 soviet knockoffs
Coleman "sportmaster" giant single burner thing
6-7 2 burner "medical" stoves - these are not all identical to each other but all very similar.

Plus 4 restored 1950 stoves, 2 restored 530 stoves, and a mountain of parts new and used. Repro stickers, new pumps, burners, etc.

And a dozen old lanterns, 10 unissued mountain cookware sets and an officer mess kit from vietnam.

So, it looks like I've got a lot of stove restoring to do this winter! And then figure out how to rehome at least half of these. I want to keep a few but I don't think I need 90 stoves!

That’s a massive haul. I think my wife would have a conniption if I came home with that mother load.

Thanks for the warm welcome! I'm still sorting through the pile and starting to sort out parts for all the "basketcase" disassembled stoves. I guess then I'll have to figure out the best way to tackle replating and cleaning and painting all this. A few stoves might be "display only", too. I found a brand new, unfired 520 that the brass fuel tank has cracked in 3 places! Probably not fixing that one.

    Mine kinda did.

I won't lie, I'm mildly salivating at those pressure lamps that are creeping into shot in pic 1... any more view of those please?

    Best, Chris

    The lanterns are, I think:

1 95 Coleman powerhouse dual fuel 295-700t missing globe
Coleman 200A, date stamp on bottom 12 64
Red made in Canada coleman 200, no year stamp found?
Akron lamp us 1944, coleman globe on it
    Coleman 10 60 dual mantle 220E
1952 us leaded fuel lantern Coleman missing globe x2
1966 leaded fuel coleman missing 1/4 globe
1967 US AFM complete maybe unfired but imperfect, maybe fired once
1972 US ft also maybe used once

Believe the 1967 + 1972 belong in the wooden case. Or maybe the pair of 1952 lanterns?

Those also came with this lot. I'd like to keep one or two of them maybe. Or trade them for a nice, working, already restored one, or something. I have a modern (like 3 or 4 year old) coleman powerhouse that I use for most of my camping trips already, but I love how nice the classic stuff looks.

Come on by, you can help me figure out how to finish restoring and nickel plating and etc these!

I should probably start a new thread, I've started on disassembling/cleaning all the 530's, and ordered a bunch of parts in. Is this the right subforum for that? If I keep posting progress pictures, hopefully I'll keep making progress....

    And finally:

All the other stuff. Primus stoves, mess kits etc.

Except, all the 530 stoves (approx 60), which I'll upload in it's own post at some point.
