A 2 burner stove manufactured by AGM and sold through Sears (US) and Simpsons-Sears (Canada). There are similar ones in the Reference Gallery but different paint scheme.

I really like those various suitcase house brands.

I was just looking at my J.C. Higgins bait casting rod and Pflueger reel last night, thinking I might take it out soon. I could take along my J.C. Higgins .22 for some plinking.

Imagine a complete J.C. Higgins camp...

He was an accountant at Sears, you know.

Someone just sent me one of these. The tank is in original condition, but someone painted the case blue. I'll be restoring it eventually and I'm curious if you can give more detail on the original colour. Is it white or some kind of off-white? Is it speckled? It kind of looks specked in your photos, but maybe it's just chips in the paint. Thanks.

Here are some pics. Paper towel for colour comparison. Speckles seem to be light grey. JC2.jpg JC4.jpg JC3.jpg JC1jpg.jpg

Thank you. That's exactly what I needed. I guess I'll be researching how to do that speckled effect.

A stiff scrub brush dipped in paint and a good distance away should do it...
