    Howdy, All,

    What happened to the other entry? I hope others join-in this month! I like to share stoves that are fun for me, even though I've only won, once. Still fun to share.

    Doc, you scared everyone away with your Optimus 22B Meths. If you can't compete why bother entering? You should have held off until near the end of the contest before dropping the ringer.

    Well..... That's disappointing. I guess I should delete my stove. Interesting turn of events, in any case.

    Mark, don't delete your entry! Somebody else is bound to enter something. I think November is just a busy month (especially for those of us in the US).

    I also think it would be nice to bring back the themes, and recycling themes used previously would be fine.

    I guess so … my 1899-1908 era Primus No.0.

    The challenge was to remove decades’ accumulation of grime …

    IMG_4036.jpeg

    … to reveal a patina without cutting back to shiny brass. The cut-down pot rests are thought to indicate that the Primus was used as a heat source for a geyser or similar and rather than replace them with full size ones topped by a cast iron trivet, I’ve coupled the Primus with a tripod from scientific instrument makers Griffin and George, of London

    @presscall and @Rangie , So glad to see you both enter this month's contest! I have hopes that others will join in, too. A "one horse race" is no fun for anyone, not even the horse! :lol: Well done to you both! :clap: Every Good Wish,

    Yes, thank you @presscall and @Rangie. Now that we have second and third place we can fill a podium.

    @z1ulike

    Ben, you're gettin' mighty feisty in your old age! I think it's time we did another desert camping event, and YOU provide the bacon, pancakes, and eggs,....just like last time! ;) :lol: :D/ Thanks for making me laugh, though! Appreciated!

    That's a terrific idea except next time it will be either waffles and homemade bacon or eggs benedict.

    @Rangie ,

    Yes, and that's not counting all the stuff that was cut out of this thread earlier! Too bad you are so very far away. It would be great to have you join us at a future CASG event! And, now, back to our regularly scheduled program! ;):lol:

    Since the image for this month's competition is the Monitor High Speed Picnic stove I'll add my Monitor.

    Well it's no 22B, but I may as well put up another 2-burner. No sense in bringing a knife to a gunfight.

    My AFC Ranger III, likely made in Hong Kong in the late 70s to early 80s by Ash Flash.
