Which washer do I need or am I missing something?

I have a Primus 96 and if leaks at the tank/vaporizing tube joint. I have been given a washer but it is too thick and I can not screw on the the vaporizing tube when the washer is in place. What do i need to do?

You require a correctly sized lead (burner) washer for that connection.

Is washer in your picture lead? If so, is simple to flatten and trim to fit.

 

Also make sure you have removed all the original washer material.
