I got a new svea 123r today in the 'vintage' style box and the burner assembly is definitely 'on the p;ss', it was bought for me as a gift at a boxing day sale so returning it will be a mission, quite nice confident that a bit of gentle persuasion will straighten it out.
Had a test firing and boiled some condensed milk in the can for planned my caving trip tomorrow

    It works?
Sounds like it; so what’s wrong?

No problem, just confirming the experience of others that the new SVEAs are a bit wonky straight out of the box.

    What's wonky about it?

Burner does not look quite vertical but usually that is an easy fix. I just push it in the correct direction and presto!
