    Slow day at the office, had time to get a 2nd new stove fired for the first time. Captain BRO 202, loud and quiet burner caps.

    Unfortunately, I also discovered a small leak at the pump tube. Going to have to make that pump tube removal tool from the Berniedawg video and get to soldering. 20260120_132753.jpg 20260120_133009.jpg

    The Primus 4155 burner shown above a few posts, has been pulled down, cleaned, and reassembled.

    @Tony Press novel use of an outer burner cap to support the regulated burner assembly but what is that pot stand?
    Not sure that I have use for one at the moment but it's nice to know that such things exist.
    Regards
    John

    @Jeopardy

    I’ll get out to the shed in the morning and check the brand. I bought it off the Bay of Evil.

    It’s very useful for messing around with burners as it is adjustable in height.

    Cheers

    First time using one, I get why they're so popular and still made today

    Coleman 530 B46 (late 1946 manufacture) “G.I.” Pocket Stove

    With this 530, I have two burner bells I use with it - the stove’s original roarer and the second burner bell which is fitted with a silent BD cap.

    A big shoutout to @Remus1956 who very kindly gifted me an ‘eyebrow saver’ for this stove in the form of a brass preheat cup which slips neatly over the generator and sits snugly on top of the generator nut.

    So no more ‘Mount Vesuvius’ moments when I light the stove!

    @Pharael This is the only stove my wife strictly said "oh hell no" whenever I lit it before I had the preheat cup. She also questioned if it was safe, safe indoors, and if I want to sit anywhere near it.
    hahaha...Eyebrow saver...
