Swiss made Edelweiss cook kit with Primus 71 making some chicken rice soup. About average temps 66F (19C) for gray January day here in SoCal. Can hear wild burros on hill but can't see them.
Fried rice using an Aussie Companion stove (with a Primus 4155 burner): Finished (with baby chit sum greens, onions and garlic)! To accompany goat curry. Cheers Tony
@Pharael The espresso gnome has is indeed a GSI Outdoors mini espresso maker. I bought one for the wife in 2013, to take hiking. Here's a few photos:
@The Warrior Wonderful photos. One I have just purchased (NIB) is the same as your wife’s - has a brass steam pipe. I note that @gnome model has what looks like a stainless steel steam pipe? Later version perhaps? Your stoves trivet plate looks very interesting, especially in the way it keeps the pot nicely snug. Pharael.
The trivet is actually a shower drain cover. The GSI wouldn't fit on the Brunton raptor, so I went to the hardware store to look for ideas. The four tabs on the drain cover fit the GSI like it was made for it: By the way, the little espresso cup is a GSI Outdoors Glacier espresso cup:
@Pharael Thanks, the Edelweiss is a nice set and has smaller built in holder for 71 stove and different vent holes in bottom section. All around complete cook set like the Sigg Tourist is for the Svea. Made some fried rice to go with Moroccan Spice chicken on my Coleman made in USA Solus. Primer cup has DIY windscreen.
another meal on Thermos stove and Sportsman Oven made in WY. Gravy, chicken thigh, mixed veges and bisquick topping. No complaints about the nice browned top.
