IMG_5671.jpeg IMG_5667.jpeg IMG_5670.jpeg IMG_5673.jpeg IMG_5676.jpeg Playing with my solo truck kit. These bagged meals are decent, I love them for hunting camps. A quick meal after a full day in the woods.

Too large for my small 8” pan but the SIGG pan handled it. The 8R got a little warm, I should have pulled out my folding grill to give an air gap with the larger pan. But I kept an eye (or a finger) on the fount.

Its fun playing with gear and prepping for spring adventures.

I had a weird feeling I was being watched, lol

Salt does not cause hypertension, it exacerbates hypertension in people who already have it.

Grilled cheese on the 123R in between ranch work, rounding up cows, and fence building.

Dice up some pork shoulder and cooked until tender Saturday. Added hamburger Sunday and ended with big ol pot of chili. Did make 2qt with beans. Hand ground the spices and added some peppers for some heat. 426B perfect for large pots and my 426S really shines for a sturdy, low single.
Chili and tamales are the main half time dishes but have more sides than you can shake a stick at. Been getting together 50+ yrs with this bunch, several since high school for Super bowl. Money can buy happiness but can't buy you a friend. In case you are wondering did the cooking in shorts and tee shirt after washing my hands. sunny SoCal

High school grand daughter had a short story published in her school district newsletter titled 'Mac Memories' and we felt we needed to re-create her memories. She explained how she helps Grandma with Sweetie Pie Mac & Cheese and Grandpa with outside stove duties when kids are here. Somewhat Kleenex moment reading when she mentions family pictures on mantel, wooden quail art in dinning room and how comfort food can glue family together.

Hats off to you for the homemade tamales. Is a springtime room addition in order?

Just a quick backyard test run cooking a gilled cheese with the Primus 71.
I had “Wheat Montana” white bread lightly spread with “Land-O-Lakes” butter. Inside I had a slice of Kraft American, with a bit of grated Parmesan, and some shredded smoked Gouda. The final “Bam” was a sprinkle of “Alpine Touch” “Montana’s Special Spice”.

Thank you, it did turn out great. I was somewhat surprised I could control the heat on it as well as it did. The heavy cast iron skillet helped.

I was surprised myself at how clean a flame it was. I just purchased the stove and did a quick seal replacement and “spiff up”. It was the first time I fired it ip.
