Hello everyone, I found a Radius stove no.46 this evening. It's not a full stove, but it can serve as a foundation for a future one if I manage to find the crucial missing components, and as you can see, these missing parts are essential, but are not the core ones (since the tank and burner are available). Wish me luck in assembling and finishing this stove, and if anyone has a spare part that could help me complete it, please feel free to reach out . All the best, Migwar
While waiting to find parts, maybe you can play with it like in this thread: https://classiccampstoves.com/threads/swedish-m40-b.29020/#post-296402
If you have all the parts, I'm sure you can restore it. It's a stove worth fixing. I hope you can complete it.
Thank you @pysen78 very interesting advice. Will do Thank you @Camp numao the challenge is that I don't have the parts. I am seeking to find them.
Thank you @Daryl this will be a great start with this stove. I will do the necessary revisions to it's functionality and find something similar to this tin box (amazing job as seen from the shared kink), or that messkit, until that I find the remaining parts, which I know it will be difficult. Regards, Migwar
In fact I will try to make the flame spreader, as I did one before for one of PT-1s (Pity ones I call them, just for the music of the words). My sight will go after a compatible key after that. Best regards, Migwar
Dear @Spiritburner yes indeed, in fact I have to think partially inside the box for the burner and partially outside the box for the tank . I really would like to thank you in public for the noble gest you've done. Much appreciated really.
Admirable expression! @Daryl ’s suggestion is very good. You’ve got the irreplaceable parts, so well on the way. John
Thank you @presscall . I've observed today that the fuel cap (the SRV) from the 111 stove fits nicely on this no. 46. I'm not certain if anyone else has tried that. In any case, it puts me in a better position to test the 46 until I have time to properly fettle the original 46 cap.
These stoves are robust. Much respect. I utilized a flame spreader from the PT-1, a tank cap from the 8r, and a spirit plate from a French alcohol burner. On the first run after extensive priming, I didn't have to ignite it twice. There are no leaks. Outside temperature here is currently 0 degrees Celsius and no issues at all (raised the stove from ground though). I've as well thrown that silent cap for only experimenting, it worked also, but not strongly. Maintenance will fix that. Next, I will fettle the original cap and begin a lengthy search for the remaining components. Regards, Migwar
