Hello, friends, after long time. Today I found an interesting stove don't seeing before. What is it? I didn't find nothing simmilar in reference gallery. Writing on tove: Marca registrada El Porteno Industria Argentina
My first time to see such a burner design and would think its will make a nice flame pattern when lit. Hope someone can help identify the model. Ron
If you look closely at the pic, there is writing on the tank I make out the first word says "El" Really cool looking stove. not the most packable though. Its a cross between a Coleman 500 and an old kero. Maybe cobbled together at home.
Wow! Light it up! Please, please, please. The manufacturer in Argentina made stoves is all I know. I have an old Optimus 00 with one of their roarer burners. Link Hope this helps. Sure would love to see that one lit. And big congrats on a really nice acquisition! Cheers, Gary
Thank you, friends. I really was very happy to find something never seeing before in so good condition. Yes, it is Argentina made stove, that is not a question and I'm sure it is made before WWII. Writing on the tank I wrote in the first post. I reject the assumptions, that it is home made from some stoves: every part on them looks right and there are not traces of re-doing. A handle is one not genuine part only. I'll do more pictures and post them later.
Here you will find some information Porteño (Argentine) burner on an Itati stove https://classiccampstoves.com/threads/from-hunting.31290/page-15#post-375733
