Nickel-plated Burmos 55 - a collapsible, discus-style stove. Having fitted a new burner washer, filler cap seal and oiled the pump cap seal, the 55 now holds excellent pressure. The 55’s well-used 4-row silent cap sitting alongside a NOS version of the same cap. The just about legible ‘BURMOS’ burner stamping. ‘BURMOS’ stamped on one side of the pressure release valve and fuel filler cap… …with BRITISH’ stamped on the reverse. Tank stampings. Base-over-apex view. Pharael.
@Ed Winskill Thanks. One of the few times I haven’t had to remove a Burmos stove’s pump tube to carry out a crack repair! Pharael.
Very beautiful stove to look at. Nice that it comes with a reserve cap. Interesting they would put "kerosene" in parentheses above paraffin.
@GibsonsRavinePark2 Many thanks. Other versions of the 55 had the reserve cap chained to the fuel filler cap…presumably because they would be easily lost or mislaid. Fortunate the cap was still present with mine. Pharael.
