This was a bit of a rum buy really, mainly due to the rum I'd consumed when I bought it To be fair, I'd been tracking this one on Ebay for a while, to go with my No2 Mk2 Mod stove, and was drinking with a friend of mine....well you know how it goes It was made by H K Ltd in 1974, again in very good condition, the asbestos on the heatshield was very well covered although I had to touch it up where it went around the filller cap, which I did after the picture shoot. Replaced the seals as a matter of course, and as you can see, it runs very well, and sounds awesome, think the only thing louder is my Hipolito H502 lantern Tim
@Tim Read You appear to be on a mission of collecting UK military stove’s….good on ya! Yep, those twin roarers are sure loud…and very hot. A ‘Heffalump’ of a stove such is its weight! Very nice clean example. Pharael.
@Phareal only the ones I like, wanted this one to go with my No2 Mk2 Mod, same as the Mk2. Also I'm limited for space so have to be somewhat selective in my purchases. And yes, you're right about the weight, my Coleman 426D suitcase stove is way lighter, and that's got 3 burners in it The only one I really want now is a No 12, and maybe a German Geniol military stove, but they're looking a bit pricey at the moment. Tim
These are great workhorses but monstrously heavy Ideally paired with a Mk3 oven, they are a great set Alec.
