    Primus No.110 Heat Radiator

    IMG_9708.jpeg IMG_9709.jpeg

    This heat radiator setup has the 110’s regulator control knob positioned behind the radiator for ease of use, given the substantial amount of heat which is generated.

    @Pharael yes still looking !
    Do you think it makes much difference to the heart output off the reflector having it highly polished? Instinct tells me it will make a difference but much?

    @nmp

    IMO, your instinct is correct.

    The max. heat output is around 2.1 kW, but here’s the rub…

    Having a radiator with a shiny surface does not actually increase the heat output (that remains the same) - what it does is reflect the heat which is being generated from the burner more efficiently forwards (less heat absorption by the radiator) but not by a large amount, I would guesstimate by no more than 10%.

    So this difference in radiated heat would only be noticeable in my opinion, when one is in relatively close proximity to the Heat Radiator.

    A NOS tin lined copper kettle I recently acquired. It is made by a Norwegian company called Øiaas-Produkt AS, they went bankrupt in 1986. The former owner had it for display in her cabin. The capacity is 1 liter. Here paired with a Høvik Verk made Primus no. 41.
