    My first rocket.

I picked this Primus 733 up recently [date stamped AN (1949)].

It was in reasonably good condition with a nice patina so I gave it a clean and then polished.

The burners are marked Primus and Sweden, they were choked and needed cleaning, using a blow torch and compressed air.

The flame tubes were missing so I made two from some steel tube I had in the shed.

Up and running. The flame is a little yellow / orange and may need some tuning if it doesn’t clean up with some more use.

That appears to be going very well!
Great to see that the twin spirit cup is still intact too.
    Thanks for sharing.

    hi Robb,
very nice result on this beautiful stove.
I’m looking at a similar task, cleaning but keep the patina, on a rocket stove from 1932.
I’m wondering what you used to achieve this result?
    Best regards, Edwin

@Edwin S in this case the patina is due to age, good storage and having had little use. There was no heavy buildup needing attention.
All I did was give it a wash with hot soapy water followed by a coat of bees wax.
Sorry, l can't be more help.

May be thats all the help i needed. Recently i got my first really old stove made of brass. Your 733 looks a lot like the one i have, but I’m a bit of a novice at these kinds of stoves. Wanna be sure not to do anything wrong.
Before i got this Primus 745 i restricted myself to Coleman stoves and lamps.
