Cheapo DIY Svea 123 jet cleaner

after looking at the ridiculous prices wanted for a cleaning needle I decided to make my own. I cut 2 1/4” off an old xacto handle and used a piece of brass wire off an old brass brush. It fits right in the hole of the windscreen

Guitar strings make good pricker material . For this application D’Addario PL007 . .18mm .007 “ about $1.00 US and have a life time supply of replacements The exacto tool is a great idea !

 

Xacto knife handles must be considerably cheaper that side of the pond.

 

About $5 each if you buy a 3-pack at Malwart, and that includes the blades.

 

I think .01" music wire will also work for stoves using white gas. That's what I used.
