I agree. Not supposed to simmer well, but it does. I like it for fixing pasta on a bp trip, using a large pot not normally taken for bping. Works for breakfast too. Duane
Agreed. Shame they discontinued it, although the Dragonfly did succeed it spiritually. Glad I found one in primo condition.
HI, Guys, IMHO, the Firefly was one of MSR's best stoves. People complain about the windscreen, but using "truncated" pot sets nest perfectly with the windscreen! Boils water like the seven hells, and also simmers very nicely! Mike Ridout, one of MSR's original stove techs, replaced my FF fuel line with the newer sintered brass covered fuel line. It's worked perfectly ever since! The silent cap in these photos, which, sorry to say, are not too good, is one I borrowed from a Perfektus stove. I wish MSR still did the retro-fit for a new fuel line! Every Good Wish, Doc
