CRS is a terrible disease. I find my case is progressing with every passing birthday. I thought I had two Primus No. 2 stoves. I don't. I have one Primus (just posted in another post) and an Optimus No.2. The Optimus has no date code or any other marking except the name and the 47 language patent info on the top of the tank. Can anyone make an educated guess at the age/date of the Optimus?

BTW, looking for a trivet for the Primus if anyone has a spare. Cast iron or sheet metal, either would do.

    hello,
that late filler cap is seen in (at least) the (late?) 82 catalog 84 brochure and 1985 catalog .
the large No.2 need not match the No. 1 & 5 tank details but
re your "...no date code or any other marking except the name and the 47 language patent info on the top of the tank."
i would guess the bottom is stamped MADE IN SWEDEN, is it? I ask in-general but also because outsourcing was underway, initially most remained within Sweden.

based on a bit more than the 3 relevant catalogs,
an educated guess at the year for your No.2 is late 1982 -to- 85
