    What capacity is the tank? A domed tank is quite unusual for a fire pot but may indicate a very early one.

    @Sedgman

    Hello Lain

    It's a new one too my collection so I have not had any fuel in it, Yes it looks to be a very early model.

    The filler cap looks to be wrong but the rest looks to be as it was made.

    I first seen this one in a collection maybe 10-15 years so very happy to have it here now.

    The old guy who owned it was crazy about polishing everything so that is why the name tag is so worn, bummer.

    Cheers Marko.

    A couple of thoughts.
    The Co Ld is a very early way of expressing the legal status of the business. The badge says in part, Furnace & Patent and a number of early Fire Pot companies used that expression.

    I suspect you are right re the filler cap, since usually the built in funnel shape underneath had a cap that was often wider to act as a dust cap / filler cap.

    Hauck Manufacturing is the only fire pot maker I have found so far that seemd to have a 'Tilley like' domed shape tank. So quite unusual. If only you could get a few more letters or words?

    Very well spotted and now the make is known. I believe the number makes the capacity.
