I have this old kook rite stove that I found in my great grandpas barn and I'd love to restore it to working order. Looking for any kind of information or any advice on how to go about this. Thanks IMG_4964.jpeg IMG_4966.jpeg IMG_4969.jpeg IMG_4970.jpeg

Cool find, glad to hear you are going to restore to working order and likely keep.

Absolutely! Just looking for information on how these work and what the different parts do. I'm more familiar with the newer style Coleman stove but this is a bit different

You didn’t post a pic of the other end of the tank. The pump likely screws onto the end to pressurize the tank. Fuel cap gasket will need replacing, pump cup in the pump oiled. The angled valve should be the start up valve, opened a turn or two to let more air to mix with gas when just firing up, then closed after the genny gets warmed up. The other valve is the main valve of course to regulate the burner.

    @Camperzach02 WELCOME .
Very nice and it's "great grandpa's" camp stove :thumbup:. Thank you for posting it.
i defer to others re "...the different parts, what they do" and to get this going. I wish you well on that front.

re your: "I have this old kook rite stove that I found in my great grandpas barn and I'd love to restore it to working order. Looking for any kind of information..."

    Below we'll find...
... it is made by AGM (lots of AGM info available)
... it is c.1932 (not later than 36) [PLENTY of AGM camp stoves over 100 y/o and back in-use].

Credit goes to @Sparky he sorted KOOK-RITE out for us in Jan 2011 Sears Roebuck KookRite #4 you also want to review his
"Un-restored photos..." that he links to in that post. You will see instructions for your model !! : ), but "i" cant read them : (.

Yours is a "KOOK-RITE No.2" by AGM. "KOOK-RITE" being Sears branding for re-badged AGM.

    and there's more lol

Terrence Marsh site also very helpful.
go here: AGM, King-Seeley, & Thermos stoves – 1 – early models – Terrence Marsh
a scroll will get to these 3 "instant lighting" examples very much like yours and of the same vintage:
"This Model 11 instant lighting..." [in 1932 catalog] COPY for yourself <--KEY DETAILS
"...this Kook Rite instant lighting stove for Sears..." surprise surprise this IS Sparky's KOOK-RITE No.4 from above. and
"AGM ...AGM made this 4X Camp Cooker..." COPY for yourself <- KEY DETAILS

These details can be a challenge to grasp initially, you may want to review /recap a few times. You should find it's spot-on for your No.2. Good luck.
