Hello, My regulator is not working for my stove. Chatgtp says the part is discontinued and is for a model 5400. Anyone know where I can get a replacement? The problem is my stove is not getting fuel. I've tried a couple of bottles to be sure. I hate to write off this stove as it is otherwise in vg condition. Thank you
@Tommi Monroe First question is 5400 what. Is that a barely precipitable Coleman logo on the regulator? There appears to be Shrader valve on the end of the fitting, are your inserting the fitting far enough into the stove? I have never seen a stove fitting like that before. Could you include some pictures of the stove and the female end of the fitting? Are there numbers stamped on the regulator?

@chiorpo I have some new 5430 regulators, and they do not look like that, so I'd be very cautious. I think the seller mislabeled the item which happens a lot. Thay being said it is a match for @Tommi Monroe 's.
Maybe some judicious Frankensteining could be done to fit a currently available regulator to the OP's stove connection.
Chiorpo, Thank you, that definitely looks like it. I was able to get some pics and model number. But I can't get the darn things to load from my phone. The paperwork says it is a model 5430-700 and the part number is 5430-5541. Sorry, I should have done that first. I also tried again and I am sure I'm pushing it in enough, and tightening it. Still wouldn't work. Thank you all for your help. I'll take a look at the one on ebay.
@Tommi Monroe The Shrader valve stem at the fitting is spring loaded, does it move when pushed in? Also check to see if anything has set up home in the stove fitting that could be blocking the fuel path.
Yes, it does move. I pushed it in with a pen and a piece of wire, both. I managed to get some pics uploaded. I'm also going to try it again and try tapping it in with a mallet. Maybe I just don't have the strength to push it in far enough although you'd think the sleeve would help with that. That one on ebay looks right but I'd rather not have to pay $30 for it if I don't have to. Thanks again.
@Tommi Monroe It looks like the valve is pushed in by the screen in the inlet fitting so if you are indeed inserting it all the way then maybe the regulator has an obstruction. The obstruction could also be in the stove at the fuel jet. The only way to know if the regulator is functioning would be to attach a bottle and press the pin in with something non-metallic like a pencil and of course doing it outside which is kind of sketchy. BTW while visiting relatives in Athol last year we drove by Careywood on our way to Sandpoint.
