Thank You! Initially I hadn't planned to do a total repaint, but the bottom was infected with cancerous rust and was getting pretty flimsy so I reinforced it with some fender washers. By the time I got the stuck screws holding the burner loose and removed the rust I decided that for the preservation it needed to be repainted with several coats of paint to lessen the possibility of the rust continuing. I painted the tank black because I found an old advertisement for the model that stated that the original fount color was black and it had coleman stencilled on it. I don't know how true this advertisement is but I liked it so I did it that way. I made the water slide decal from a picture I sniped on the internet first one was a complete failure(much to dark) second one was a little better although I dont know how durable it will be be colorwise. I had to paint white under it to get close to the original. The first stencil was also a failure paint pulled off when I tried to remove it. redo was much better, but I an not even sure its the correct one. Ad looks different. But overall It was lots of fun and I have several more I am working on. I do not plan to do total repaints on any of them. I have two 413c's one with the brass tag (first year). I also am finishing up my Preway 308a, cleaning refurb mostly. 2 M1950's, and a 530 pocket stove. I really love this hobby. I just dont need any more stoves or accessories. Just cant help myself. There is just something addictive making something that does not work function like it did years ago when it was new. Cheers Dan
