Nice We bought a Omni oven cos we were sick of carting around our camp oven and it taking up space. I probably could have made several different baking things with the pots we use now instead of buying anymore but was afraid I’d somehow kill them in the process. I used to do a mean pot roast. I’d brown the outside of the roast in the camp oven all over with salt and ground pepper. Then put in a trivet and some water and vege. Cooked on a burner or coals, the water evaporates steaming the food, when it dries out and before the fat catches on fire it’s done. but I bet you’d probably already know’d all that anyway.
Used my Sportsman oven for some string cheese manicotti. Had the cheese sticks leftover from kids visit. Keep the oven temperature down and rotated pans for no burning. Enjoy
Morning Nothing fancy Cooked a cup of porridge for breakfast in my pannikin with 96 I just resurrected. I realised too late I made the pot supports too skinny for early morning co-ordinations. didn’t even burn my fingers or stick too the base. Why? Because I can
Been plenty toasty here in SoCal with some very warm lows as well 78F (42C). Toasted up some tortillas and made some wraps, hot dog & tuna, on 426A three burner. Have them so I use them.
I notice those weeds or are they flowers are slowly getting a bigger hold in the back yard. Not that is any of my business and I’m not any great shakes as a gardener. My garden gnome even says "It was green yesterday"
@barraqbruce yes the sunflowers have overtaken that section of backyard. Last few years I have harvested some seeds and replanted them and some just come up wherever now which is fine with me. Wild finches eat the seeds daily. Adds some summer color. Spring time the poppies come up like weeds too. Some years better than others.
First cook on new build early 425NL. This one has the longer 413/426 generator so burner is in middle. worked as planed for coffee and eggs.
Used two of my 426 singles to bake some rye sourdough and cook up some meat loaf in a couple Wagner cornbread skillets
