I have a few questions about a Radius 43 I recently acquired: I think it is a "normal" 43, kero. Is the heatshield missing or no ? There is a little hole in the middle of the top of the burner. Why ? I 'd like to have more informations about that stove.
Keep the hole ... Its one of those rare Radius holes .....Watching one now on an auction site They go deep http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i149/malcolmwest/DSC00121.jpg Nick .
The hole is to house a wire to retain the burner caps. The other end hooks under the burner itself. The burner assy swivels upside down to store. The roarer has a wire too, to retain the flame spreader.
Hey Paul, Can you post a picture showing inner side of the outer cap? I didn't understand the reason for the hole. Regards, Sefa
Hey, Sefaudi, Paul is abolutely right. Here are some pictures: Up side: Down side: Details: And complete: PS: Are those pictures not too big ??
I also just got one of these stoves and would never have worked out what that hole was for. This stove is great.. so easy to prime and light, its my new favourite. Mine has a metal stand for the pot holder, this has the head shield welded on to it. Makes a mean fried egg!
