Well I have a second 88 on the way and I have no sigg set. Perhaps we could arrange a trade? Just a thought. Ian....
All that is missing from the SIGG Tourist set that Richard posted is the SIGG pot gripper and the strap, all pots and windshield parts are there. ... Oh, the Svea pot lifter seems to be missing also. To whom is this addressed ? The stove in the photo by 111T is a 96, you can tell by the 'lipstick' burner arrangement. That posted by Ed is a Optimus 00, a first cousin of the Primus 210 and similarly sized. The 00 and 210 can be mostly distinguished by the curved edges of the 00 and the rather cute feet of the 210 .... mostly. There are also Primus 210s that look exactly like Optimus 00, but differ only in the engravings. (Both were made by Optimus and used the same parts, I believe) Ian M has some good photos of these hereabouts. One more thing, if you haven't already then you really should get yourself one of each.
Spudz's post reminds me that that stove in my pic is a "post-Optimus" Primus 210. I just think of it as an Optimus 00, because that's what it is....well, you know what I mean! I also have an "Optimus" Svea 121, which again is a rebadged 00, and quite distinct from the original Svea 121 in detail.
Ah ! Well in that case, I'll not be bidding on it. A Svea 123 without the folding pricker is like .... is like ..... Well, it's like a Svea 123 without the folding pricker .... nearly, almost, just about usele........
I would think a pricker of the appropriate size could easily be fashioned out of some good old spring steel piano wire of the right size. It is quite corrosion resistant and is very spring'ish LOL flexible and tough.
Oh, the appropriate-sized prickers are easy enough; it's the nifty little folding one that's mighty hard to come by.....
Evening, David, and all, Yep, one slot for the folding pricker; one slot for the small aluminum cup handle, and one round hole for the stove adjustment key: Perfect!!! Take care, and God Bless! Every Good Wish, Doc P.S. You have to put the windscreen on just right, to be able to use all three holes. Misalign it, and the spindle will be under one!!
I broke my folding one try to fix it work to hard to open.So i did that saying if its not broke leave it a loan
In the Svea 123's............was it only the 123 and not the 123R that came with the pricker? I have been getting the impression from the stoves I have been seeing that the "R" model did not come with one. Anyone know for sure? Ian....
Morning, Ian, You are right. The 123R did not come with a pricker, as it has one that's internal, and already there. Only the 123 version, which does not have an internal cleaning needle, came with a supplied pricker. Take care, and God Bless! Every Good Wish, Doc
