Sigg Tourist and a big thanks to Gerry

I don't know about other UK members but I have been looking, unsuccessfully, for a Sigg Tourist cookset over here for years.

Well now due to the wonderful assistance of Nordicthug I have one at last



A nice piece of kit, and the 123 certainly makes a racket ! . . . . .



. . . and, the mark of a good stove, gives more than a drop of cherry red !

Congratulations on securing a nice Sigg Tourist kit!! Yeah, that Old Gerry is a sharing, and generous Dude, ain't he?!! Though he has a very crusty exterior, if you can scrape through it, using pick, mattock, hammer, chisel, and possibly some blasting powder, you will find hidden within, a heart of pure gold!!! 8) 8) I, too, have been on the receiving end of his kindness, and he's definitely a keeper!! Yep, that's the Sigg Tourist kit, with a SVEA 123R stove, plus the Optimus cookset, too, which is smaller and much lighter. Not a bad deal, really, for someone who "wants it all"! Take care, and God Bless!

Me either guys, I simply have seen a few. My 123s are bare arsed.

 

I was tempted to buy the stove that my son linked, I just love this setup but no, I have resisted temptation. This is a good deal for a UK buyer with the strong pound though.

I hate it when some blockheaded twit uses a hidden reserve. Whyinell don't they simply start the opening bid with the least amount they'll accept? Whadda they think, magic will happen and some rich dolt will crawl out of the woodwork with huge wads of cash?

Wouldn't it be grand if somehow you could give the twit a swift kick where it hurts the most?
