    Good evening stovies!

Yesterday I were at a flea market here in Stockholm where I found two lovely stoves, one Optimus No 96 (the 1:st Optimus No 96 stove that I've) and one Svea Sievert Campus No 5. Both stoves were in good condition so it was easy to polish'em up into great condition. Unfortunly the spiritcup was missing on the 96 stove so I've just fitted one normal spiritcup to it. I'll fire'em up as soon I get some time left.... :)
The No 5 stove runs on gasoline

Don't forget the 2, 5b & the 121 also came under the Campus heading. Not sure why the 121 did but it did for a while.

Nice finds Magnus - worthy of the Stove Reference Section on their own posts.

I wish I could find brass stoves like I can find Colemans. I found a "full size" BATTERY powered Coleman "lantern" in the trash today.....(two six watt florescent bulbs). It's got the cardboard box it came in too. Somebody paid 21.99 usd for it new, and it looks like that's how it stayed. It's just not a real lantern. (IMHO)
Great stoves Magnus! I really like the pristine looking Optimus tin!
    Best,
    Randy

Great finds, Magnus. Nice before and after shots, too.
Went to a bicycle swap this weekend and although there were no stoves to be had, I came out with some nice bicycle stuff. Most notably, a pair of Carradice seat bags for $20 and three nice NOS 3 speed hubs for $10. Sold one of the hubs to a guy who asked where I found them for $10.

MORE GREAT FINDS  ----when most of us are in the old folks home we can
say we knew Magnus--the world class stove collector--when he was just a kid ;) ---and by the way---you really eat that "fish in a tube"??--we see that
at the Ikea store but would never think to even try it out---

Boy, the closest thing I found to something that burned fuel was a hand warmer made by Peacock for Western Field. The good news is that it was cheap and pristine other than missing its bag. I mad one out of felt and tested it, and it worked great!

    Great finds there!

I constantly get reminded what a nice stove the #96 is. Sort of annoying as long as I don't have one of those myself... The simplicity and elegance of the lipstick burner is very attractive. I guess there's only one way get to get rid of that annoying feeling :D The flea market high season is just around the corner, so...

Hijacking this thread to pour praise on the "Fish in a tube" You should all try it if you get a chance. It's such a classic Swedish camping food product, it just goes so well with using primus stoves..

Best way is on a sandwich with boiled sliced eggs, or if you have leftovers cooked potatoes from dinner, on a sandwich with sliced potatoes. After this, you'll find new uses for it! :)

You should give it a try, Dave!
And if you do, go for the real stuff and not that low fat version in the photo.

...and technically it's more like "unborn fish in a tube". Salty fish eggs! Yummie.=P~

Right! Kalles Kaviar (caviar), it is.

When mentioning caviar, I guess that most of the world would think of the lesser processed sturgeon roe rather than this delicious cod roe mix .
