This is my latest stove, good shape and found in the wilds of Nova Scotia I haven't tried it yet but it's seems in great shape compared to some of my other stoves I did a little polishing but I can't find a date code,it has a 4 on the bottom but no letter.Could this be the date or did they miss this one Any guess on the birthday of this one Thanks Ernie
Your date is just prior to the introduction of the date code. Flat top fuel cap, wording around the end cap of the pump assembly, and the funnel shape spirit cup attached directly to the rising tube, all indicate an early model. The shape of the font shows that it is the later version of the early types. Fr Laurence
This is my future fettle klient A Primus No (noop, no number) I suppose a very early model? I do have a No 1 like yours too Yours seems to bee in a slightly better shape Ernie And with other feet too
It's says alot about the design ,when you consider these stoves are almost a century old and the same basic design is still being made today 8) A little fettle time and they roar into life like the where new It makes me wonder where these old stoves have been hidding for the last 95+ years and who would have used them I'm busy this week and I'm not going to have time to get out to the shop and do any work on the projects that have piled up over the winter.Next weekend for sure ,do any of you say that to yourself ,just to make you think it COULD happen Thanks for the birthdate on the NO.1 .
