..... Today I got my two Optimus No 510 stoves :D :D :D :D :D The price - The bottles of Whiskey, couldn't be much better!?

The stoves seems to be in good condition and I'll test run one of them tonight, so pictures of 'em when they're fired up will come later on.

    Hi Magnus,
I LOVE those stoves, I suppose they were made for some industrial use or heating stew in giant kettles, but they are so insane as camp stoves. I can just see pulling one from my pack at a remote campsite to boil a cup of Ramen. Photos or video will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Gary

Good evening parramethtrol! Thank's for your reply!

"how many truck loads of whiskey?" - 2 st bottles, one litres so it was a great deal!!
I just tested one stove for about 20 min ago and I was recording the 1:st start, but two burners are leaking so I need to change the gaskets but I'll give it a try tomorrow aswell and then, perhaps the stove will work perfect and I'll upload the movie to Youtube.
I am always happy, but today I was a man with a big smile all day :D :D

Good evening Gary! Thank's to you aswell for your reply!

Thease kind of stoves was used for boiling up for example water very quick, this 510 stove boils up 50 litres of water in 20 min.... That's..... well, what can I say, it's amazing :D :D
Like I say in my last reply, I'll try to see if I can get the stove running perfect, and if it does I'll upload the movie to Youtube.

    hi magnus
2 litres of whiskey that's crazy,i can't wait to see the footage and can't believe you fired it up in doors your a brave man, and as for being happy you have every right to be, i just took a look at your other post's the Sputnik look alike stove's look pretty amazing to,i don't know where you find them, but keep doing it, i will make a point of keeping my eye on the reference gallery from now on, i expect you have seen it in the posts but the big brother/cousin to your two optimus's is on ebay a primus 747 never seen anything like it item 180242611693
you could boil a bath of water in no time with your optimus's, how much doe's the tank hold and have you any idea of the burn time for them four burners firing away have got to drink some juice, looking forward to seeing them in action and also hearing them

    Wow, Magnus!!

    Fantastic cherry-reds on your stove.

Also a lesson to all - when acquiring an old stove, replace all the gaskets and it will save you a lot of problems.

They are looking very good. Today a person offered me an 510 and an Optimus with 8 burners, but the price was to high about € 300,00 for the both burners and they are in a pore condition.
But is there anybody who knows the Optimus with 8 burners????? Haddock, The Netherlands
