I'm once again havin problems w/ RMs decidedly proprietary jet, it simmers like crazy, but even after 20 or more pumps, I cant get the flame tips to go further than 3 or 4 mm above the flame ring. I swaped for a "primus/optimus" jet, and it DID techincaly work, but at low out put especialy, it wld "puff" it's self out. Even on high output sometimes. help?
I am having same problem with my RM I cant find the jets. I also put a optimus 1 pint jet in mine and it will not burn right, flame is yellow and burns to one side.
Might get mine out and check the jet size for you's tomorrow. And fire it up Like Doc would say. "I got one and mine burns perfect "
Yeah got mine out and it started up good as gold Hmm somewhere between 11 and 13 thou is the right jet size. 13 too large to fot in the jet and 11 to loose. Haven't anything else at the moment to mearure with sorry about that as havn't a guitar to rip a string offa. Bruce
well, it's handsome. As the pix show, but this is the second one w/ this....erm, problem. Now, if I remember correctly, I can put my 210 burner in the RM tank, but, that still does not allow for both my 1 pinters to run at the same time. (all the others are up North) Mayhaps I shld sadle up, and try to get me another 00. or even a Svea 121, never had one o those.
w/ what tho, all my prickers are too big. wld a strand of bicycle cable fit ya think? Keep in mind also, I do not have access to any semblance of a work shop. Hobo
Don't know about the bike cable. The end bits of Guitar strings from off one of them busker's when they ain't looking.Where you hold the cigarette while playing. clean up the tip to a point with you wet stone.
I seem to get this problem with my RM 210 copy as well. I'm not sure what jet is in it though - I'll check and report back. It seems to burn more to one side, though it is not really all that yellow. Jet likes to clog up a lot too, but then it hasn't been used for about 30 years until it was revived yesterday...
