Well with work being hectic, and CCS being mostly off line for a while, I was AWOL for a bit. What brings me back is I got lucky today at a local col flea market. A new in box, never been lit, Aida 100-1 (roarer, the -5 is the silent) Brass stove! At a killer price to boot! It’s not too old, as it was made in (WEST) Germany, and is says on one spot. It does have six languages on it, which for post war surprise me. It does have the number 116 stamped on the bottom, not sure of that s a date code or what. I don’t think I’ve seen an Aida in the classic primus format, but here it is. The box isn’t pristine, but the stove is! No fettling needed here! I know, I know, Pics or it didn’t happen and as soon as I can get SWMBO to shoot some, I’ll get them up. I also got a Colman Peak 1 222 gas lantern in a plastic case, with 4-5 sets of mantles, for a price that would just about cover the cost of the mantles. It is missing its globe but that is about it. The site looks good! A bit different, and some different terms but I’ll catch on soon enough!
