The post on the Optimus 111 jets has me a little confused about something,....easy enough to do. The 111t should come with what? I believe it's just the alcohol jet(2508), the multifuel 'M' jet(2509) and two restrictor tubes,...one for alcohol and one for diesel type fuels. Is this correct or did it come with a gas jet (2510) too??
Hello, I believe it originally came with the 2509 jet fitted and then a spare jet for Alcohol 2508 and the restrictor tube for Alcohol also. I've never heard of a restrictor for diesiel?? The 2150 G jet I believe is used on the 111B and 22B. Cheers John
Thanks John. I swear I saw an auction on e-bay that had two restrictor tubes of different lengths and believe the second was for poor quality diesel/kero type fuels. As a matter of fact,...I think I've seen a few sold like that. Hmmmm. While it may be more trouble than it's worth,...would the 2510 (gas only) jet make the stove more efficient/cleaner burning with white gas or just a waste of time?
Yes there is two try them both on alcohol to get the one that works where you are has to do with sea level
Thanks for the reply. So they're both for alcohol. Wouldn't have guessed that one. Does neither have an effect on diesel?
Dont forget the 2510 jet is primarily for roarer burners 111B 22B et al... Not sure you need to swap it out in a 111T as this is a silent burner... Robert sorry i cannot see your message?? Cheers John
Hey, Guys, In their directions, Optimus used to say, that one restrictor was to be used with Meths, and the other with petrol. If you need me to, I can take a photo of the original instructions, and post that here. The interesting thing is that, the restrictor that they now call their petrol version, was originally the one they recommended for Meths! Hummmm....... Take care, and God Bless! Every Good Wish, Doc
Doc, That would be OUTstanding if you could and would. I tried the Optimus site and they only have one for the 111c up. The only manuals which I have to look at are for the 111, B, and hiker+.
Actually,...I just checked and there's not a 'T' manual in the reference section here either. Might be a worthy addition if you have that manual.
I have a nice manual for the 111T, but it's HUGE ! I'll try and find a scanner big enough.... See what's at work
Thanks for the thought. If you can't get it scanned,....I'd be happy to take care of it at a Kinko's or Office Max then return it back to you and forward a copy via e-mail to Ross for the site. Should be do-able at a place like that.
It will have to wait a few days, as I'm doing Maximum overtime this week... 16 hrs today alone (I love Union scale...)
Hey, Guys, Today, I dug out two different manuals for the 111T. Yep, that's right: two different manual! I'll get them posted here, one way, or the other. Some interesting changes in parts, from one version to the other. Take care, and God Bless! Every Good Wish, Doc
https://classiccampstoves.com/threads/8725 This recent catalogue posted by Ross answers one question. Note the two tubes hanging from the 111T lid.
@Doc Mark Hi Doc, did you ever get one or both of the manual posted? I can not find one on the site, would it be possible to get a copy of both, I have a Optimus international on its way and it would help to do a little reading while waiting. Thanks Chris
