From the burner and tank, l'd guess it burned kerosene. The case and grate look as if they were built from shipyard scrap and offcuts. Rugged enough to use as a stand for a house jack.

Gerry, I think your right, it looks like a hybrid, a bit of this and a bit of that; still, it should be fun getting the bugger to burn 8)

It must be a Max Sievert (Svea) Campus No 2. Have a look here.
I have one myself, with swedish instructions inside the lid. It states kero only.

Arne, thank you, yes it looks the same. Do you know how old this type of stove is? If possible, can you post a picture of the instructions on the lid

    Keep well

I do no know how old it is.
The instructions are rather dirty and have some holes. I do not know how well they will reproduce on a photo. I shall try. This will take some days, have no digital camera at hand.

I'm thinking white gas. Granted that's due only to it's system is similar to an Opti 111.

Hobo, like I've said in the past, if you make enough low bids on separate items, one or two will come your way; I got lucky with this one ;)

I told the wife about it, and it being quite a rare stove, she replied "well done love, sell it" , thats women for you.

    Hi.
Here is my Campus No 2 burning kerosene:

    burning.jpg

And here are a photo of the instructins, in Swedish:

    instructions.jpg

A photo, in higher resolution, of the instructions can be found here.

It was impossible to get the thing into my scanner so I had to use the camera.
As you can se the instructions ar in rather bad condition, with dirt, paint and holes.
It is thus easy to read "For fotogen" which translates to: for kerosene (fotogen is the Swedish word for kerosene,).
