OK all you old stoveoholics... remember when you were just getting started, having a couple of stoves all used for specific purposes... Then... you had to buy that one because... and the rot began to set in... more and more... obscure... must have it... a slight variation in colour... will get it... It's got a different filler cap... Can't stop... You might have joined SA association (stovies anon) only to fail their "look but don't fire up test." Well, her's a moment of deja vous for youse all. can you remember when you got your collection up to a whoping, huge, monster 7 stoves????? 7 Seven!!!! (use Sesame St, Count Voice... 1...2..3... hahahha 4 kabang...5 5 stoves ... hahahaha.... 6...6 stoves... woomph..... 7...etc) Alas, the rot is setting in... Bwa hahahahahahaha Having a very unserious stove moment. had to share.
Wow...... Discounting "suitcase" stoves, (both white gas and gassies) I am at that magical number right now!!! 1. Svea 123r 2. Svea 123 3. Coleman 502 4. Enders 9061 5. Rogers M1950 6. Vulcan Safety Chef 7. Primus 210 Darn it! I forgot that I have two 502s...does that "jinx" it? LOL *edit*.....Never mind....I was at 8 to begin with, I forgot the Swedish military/trangia stove..... Already past 7...
Hmm It gets even worse. Seven seems a nice even number Nick Something do do with fun sway. Glad to see you have your habit under control thou. Can tell you are a true Kiwi Ramenvas I can see the gumboots in the background. They your good going out ones or just the ones you wear around the house to keep you feet warm?? Barra
I had 7 stoves before I started collecting this year. I now have 24 Or was I allways a stovie? with just a long time between aquisitions. Neil
Seems a fair bet that Ramenoholic will hit the "ten" this Christmas. Clearly he has not discovered that there are Breakfast stoves and Dinner stoves. That Darjeeling does not taste well when brewed on a steel-tanked stove. That simmering your stew on a roarer burner from Britain is the better choice. That german petrol stoves are tops when it comes to shelving your stoves in your library. That..... He will learn!
The number seven is a good one. It will go like this in a short while: Seven and ten. Seven and fifty. Seven and one hundred. Seven and two hundred. I'm tellin' ya.
Hahahaha, great, yep the gummies are for everything. I might be up to 9 by the end of sunday night depending on good old trade me and the stiff competition out there. Id love to see some more pics of some of these mighty collections on mass added to give me room for thought/reflection/panic. I get the feeling, whole rooms/basements/garages/houses get taken over for breakfast stoves, darjeeling friendly stoves, and that stove that must be fired up at 347 pm every first Sunday of the month etc...
