Optimus 8R

    Do the Optimus 8R stoves have self-cleaning needles? Or do you have to manualy cleen them?

    Hey, Abe,

    Both the Optimus and Primus 8R have an internal cleaning needle. You clean the jet by turning the spindle completely counterclockwise. This raises the internal cleaning pin, and pushes any gunk out the orifice. The earlier version, the 8, had no internal cleaning mechanism, and came with a separate cleaning pin, to be used manually.
