    ARARA?MELCHERS is not understood well.
Is it a stove that ARARA offered MELCHERS?
Please teach when someone knows this stove.

    Best Regards
    Motoshi

Hello Motoshi, very unique stove you have there, congratulations!
It does have the flat 1/2 rounded brackets for the 3 potholders, that seems an Arara exclusive.
Was made in the east of germany (Dresden?).
    Regards, Mike

A very beautiful stove, but I don't have any further information for you, Motoshi.

Thank you very much for posting the very good photographs.

    Hello Mike.

    Thank you for the comment.
I also variously examined it. And, I see.
This stove was to have made for Asia because there was a Chinese character in the tank.
徳国造is a Germany manufacturing from English.
Next, the meaning of 美最時 examined something.
And, it has understood.美最時(MELCHER) is a merchant house in Taiwan.

In a word, I think this stove to be a stove that Melcher sold with the stove that Arara supplied to Melcher for Asia by its own brand name.
When BRUNTON of the United States just sold Optimus Nova, it is the same.

    Regards Motoshi

    Hello Motoshi.

Melchers & Co. was a company in Bremen that obviously specialised in exporting stuff to Asia, or perhaps China in special.

It looks like someone has exchanged the bottom.
I have seen one of these Arara's with the Melchers text, and it has the regular convex-shaped bottom. On the bottom the name Arara was engraved in the center with some asian letters above and below.
And the feets does also look like they are homemade.
On the stove I saw, there was the usual folding feets you would expect to find on this type of stove.

You can read more in this text at the http://www.hytta-stuga.de/ph/read.php?1,43848,44612#msg-44612]Petromax-forum[/url] if you can read German.

I actually contacted the owner of that stove in 2008 to ask him if he could allow me to publish that stove for him in the reference gallery here.
I tried a couple of times, but he never replied to my request.
Therefore I was glad to see that you posted your stove so we finally got one on display here.

    Hello Carlsson.

Thank you for the introduction about an interesting forum.
When it translates 徳国最好打汽火油爐 that the bottom of the tank of MELCHERS stove appearing in Petromax-forum says it in English, it is a feeling such as The best pressurization kerosene stove of the German product.

JUWEL21stove was exported to Asia in the same way by 謙信洋行 of the German trading company, too.

    Regards Motoshi
