Bernie Dawg PT'd me having seen my post in the Stove Reference Gallery on a Svea 130 Svea 130 He knew that my use of a copper plumbing fitting, adapted to fit, for an inner cap on the No.4 burner wasn't ideal. Trouble is, the copper oxidises with the heat of combustion and a black, flaky dust eventually blocks burner holes and generally creates a mess. Sure enough, after a few firings, the inner cap went from this ... ... to this Being the kind of man that he is and an exceptionally talented fettler to boot, Gary generously offered to make me a steel inner cap. He wouldn't take payment, not even for the postage. Here's what arrived in the post Now, as I said to Gary in an email to tell him it had reached me, I just set the cap on the arm of my chair while I typed ... then on a mantlepiece ... all the while getting the satisfaction of just looking at the simple, classic lines and sheer craftsmanship of the component. I tell you, it took me a while to set it on the stove for a test burn. But I did Beautiful. I'm beholden to you Gary. Again, many thanks indeed. John
