Think this is a early 111 has no hole in the top of the burner, case slightly different to later ones. The bottom of the burner is a hexagonal shape, green knob and windshield has a filling entry for the spirit. I have repainted the case but it was a very dark green and rust when found
    cheers pete

Hi Pete very nice 111 i have one of those with the green regulator knob and with the filing entry on the windshield i do belive these type are the oldest of the 111's the other version simular to this is with the white knob. infact i think this old version is of much better quality than the modern with the green tank and large knob wheel where the spinde is used to remove the jet.

Beautiful 111 Pete. I'm really starting to appreciate the 111's a lot more these days. Very simple and sound design. I've cooked side by side with a 111 and a Radius 43 and the 111 was certainly easier to set up, use and put away. I'd love to run across an example like that.

looks like an early one to me  and still has the original open ended spanner too

if you look hard you can see the older spanner in these pics, three separate catalogues show that spanner so it must of been standard at that time i would of thought

Well thanks for the comments lads i have had this one a good few years now and its one i like myself, it does burn better than the 3 tube ones i think vapourises better i guess. i never noticed the catalogues with the open ended spanner i always thought it was the wrong one till i saw them just now but i have always kept it with it as thats how i found it. these 111s are really well designed and thought out stoves the older ones are better than the new ones i bought a new one once cobra burner too black one but ended up ebaying it i was a bit disappointed with it went back to my old one
    cheers pete
