Hi This is a stove I'd never heard of, until I bought it! The tank at least is early due to the external NRV. The burner I think is the number 813 but I'm not sure. Anyway here it is pre fettling just in case I make a complete A*$£ of fixing it.
Hi, Would nice to see it working, sorry I cannot help you with any spare parts. Good luck with the project. Cheers Tim
Gary, the pilot 'feature' in itself seems reason to have a go at making it functional at least. First time I see such a neat setup, that might be the forerunner of the pilot tubes more known with Primus? The lettering is less blatant art nouveau, and Svea was one of the last to drop the external NRV in the early 20's, but it would be nice to date this feature that appearantly had little following. Nice winterproject that should come along without undue difficulties - yes, I am encouraging you - with perhaps some pics next spring! Regards, Mike
Neat. Also, what is the deal with the stubby legs/stand? If they were just hacked off by a previous owner, they did a nice job.
Hi Itchy The holes for the pot supports were I think capped off at the factory. This set up is often seen where the stove is used in a range and pot supports are not needed. Like this. https://classiccampstoves.com/threads/13469 Having looked in vain for any referrence to the Svea 101, I think it is a low volume special based on the 100. It is basically a 100 tank with a special riser to fit a 2 pinter silent burner and no pot supports.
