Arara 37 - 1930s-1940s

    A big thank you to Peer in Germany for helping me obtain this stove.

    This is not the usual embossed Arara, it is an etched version.

    The top and bottom of the tin are screw fixed not the usual bayonet type.

    A common feature among the war time German stoves, of this type, is the squareness to the burner basket, and ocassionally you can find a slightly different pressing to the base of the tank.

    Hi Ian, a very nice Arara, nicely presented.

    I don't know what you mean by etching... I see cross-hatching within some of the letters but that is produced by pressing, the same as the other letters. Etching is normally produced by attacking some of the metal with acid. Am I missing something?
