Hi, here is a copy of a soldering handbook produced for amateurs by Fluxite, in the period 1930s-50s I would estimate: Here are some photos of the small tin and contents: Best Regards, Kerophile.
Hi George. A very interesting document on soft soldering, by fluxite which is still available today, made by Fry's Metals and it is all so the brand of flux I use. I like the little soldering kit in a tin, containing flux, a mini spirit blowlamp and soldering iron, which is a shame is not there. I am somewhat fascinated by the tiny little spirit lamp for heating the iron. Have you had it working before George? And I wonder how it will perform up against my latest addition, a Primus 862 lol, which arrived today. I have all ready started restoring/fettling it.
