I see some of you have been pleased with these cheap NRVs

Innards have been stripped out of these.

The pips are useless with petrol stoves.

These are free for those who are desperate for cheap stuff, you pay postage.

I can take them! How much the postage to Finland would be? (normal/economy letter post is ok for me)

Ian, who is saying they are pleased with these?

I put one in a 111B about 4 months ago and so far it's holding up. I'll be watching it carefully.

Many of us bought these and I appreciate your warning and I'm sure the rest of us do too.

I will take them if Afterburner cancels, and they are still left.

I'm also interested (maybe in a couple of them, not the whole lot). NJN storage still has some springs and pips lying around so I could complete them and test them in our Optimus 510s. Carefully of course.

So maybe, if Afterburner and/or Ken would like to share...?

If I am counting them correctly there is 22 pcs.

Wuold this work: 12 for me, 10 for Ken. I'll fix thread on those and post 2 pcs. for Rens without postage cost?

I tested thread fix with lathe, it seems to work ok. I just need to test that NRV's go into stove without problems.

Afterburner, that would be great! If Ken is OK with this, I'll send you a PT for address.

Works for me, I really would like to investigate the root problem.

Great. Curious if they work in the 510s. After all, they're relatively cheap and this is a nice way to test them. Thanks Ian!

    Hi,
What are the innards like? Are they brass carriers that would take the pips Ross makes or moulded rubber?

Is that due to inferior "rubber"?

    Thanks

    Maybe rubber type is wrong.

    -"Normal rubber" cannot stand fuels
-Nitrile rubber can stand kerosene and oil but not well gasolene (=petrol?)
-Nitrile rubber for biofuels should stand kerosene and gasolene also
-Fluoro rubber can stand kerosene and gasolene (Viton is Dupont's trade mark for fluoro rubber others are available also)

Nitrile rubber for biofuel I just learned last week when I visited a shop to buy material for seal making.

I'm an unhappy camper. Ian said he won't ship to a PO Box. My mailbox is a half mile down a mountain road.

We have the same problem here in Canada, but being a bilingual country, we can just use the word "Boite" included in the address and our posties all know it means box in french. I've been able to get stuff from all over that normally won't be shipped to box numbers.

Mabye you could use the word "container No. XXX" with the name of your road and see if the postal people are smart enough to figure it out. One of my buddies always uses the words "Pidgeon hole No XXX" and his gets through.

I do have a home address but Ian said they were gone by the time I told him my other mailing address.

I have a way of using the Post Office 'Physical Street Address' but I have to fill out a form, sign it, and drop it off at the Post Office. I haven't done that yet.

I will wait for Ross to get NRVs in. He is one of the most reliable suppliers I have dealt with.

Ken, I can send some of them for you with free postage (if postage is not getting too expensive). PO Box or address is ok...

Let's wait until (/if) I receive them and I'll pt for you. (if because Finnish Post has lost few times my incoming post ](*,) )
