Well, I thought I was done buying stoves, then this one showed up on Facebook Marketplace! A 111-type for $40.00 , so I had to spring for it. It is an Optimus International that appears to be lightly used. Scratches on the case etc. Seller said he couldn't get it to run, and that previous owner said "it had been to Antarctica!!! Came with a plastic bag of parts- washers, a spare fuel cap, alcohol adapter and lots more. I put a bit of Coleman fuel in it and it fired right up but soon lost pressure. I'm sure it needs an overhaul and new seals. Embossed logo on cover. Any guess on age or model? Thanks! I'll stop buying stoves now (sure....) Tom

    Howdy, @Greeley,

Excellent score, Good Sir! I'd say that's probably an Optimus 111T, which is one of my more favorite stoves! I'm guessing that yours is from the late 1970's to the late 1980's, but could be wrong a bit. Check this link, and see how it matches up with your stove:

We used to carry one of these in our Jeep, "just in case"! Great stove, and a fantastic addition to your stove stable! Thanks, for sharing, and God Bless!

    Every Good Wish,
    Doc

Nice score! I’ve been looking for a 111t at a reasonable price and saw that one, but it was just too far away. Looking forward to seeing some flame shots!
