Hello all, I just discovered this site but have loved classic camp stoves my entire adult life. I picked up a Coleman 523 medical stove many years ago and one of the valve handles is stuck closed.

Does anyone have experience getting the broach to turn?

Not sure if I posted this question in the correct location as I'm learning the site.

    Thank you,

Some heat from a torch works. Careful to avoid melting any thing or scorching paint. The go to for many of us.

PS: Can first try loosening up the jam nut and if needed apply some lubricant. If that doesn’t work can then apply heat. May take more heat than you think. Keep twisting the knob, but don’t force it or may twist it off.
