What model or models were the last to use the cast iron burners? It seems like it was around WWII, but I'm not completely certain.
@Hwheel72 your "What model or models were the last to use the cast iron burners?" akin to easier said than done... soooo much easier to ask that question than to answer it a good question, interesting topic. [you could post that question on CCF The Coleman Collectors Forum] Cast iron burners were phased out during WW2 which barely narrows it down (Sep 1939 -to- Sep 1945). A comprehensive answer can be gleaned from the good book . You can search the title of the book, i have no suggestion how/where you might purchase it but it's an excellent reference for coleman stove collectors. I will flip thru the book for you. re your "...around WW2" yes, specifically 1942 is the last year Coleman used cast iron burner asms. with 1 exception (if that 1946 exception is accurate). @OMC I appreciate the time it took to type your reponse and great information too. I also want to thank you for the reminder of the Great book. Back in June I discovered it only to see that it was 200 on Amazon, but their site it's much much cheaper. I will venture on over to the CCF site as well.
